We provide a range of support services for carers, who are very often family members. Our team is available to offer advice on practical and financial matters and to provide emotional support. We also run support groups.

We understand that it can be difficult for carers and so we offer a limited number of complementary therapy sessions, which might include aromatherapy, reflexology or massage, to give carers a chance to relax, de-stress and have some time out.

We also work closely with Action for Carers Surrey  to help carers access local support groups, ensure they receive support from their GP (as a carer), have an assessment of their needs, can access breaks from their caring role and any financial support they may be eligible for as a carer.

We have also signed up to Together for Carers; A memorandum of understanding between Health and Social Care partners within Surrey and local Carers organisations.

Woking and Sam Beare Hospice recognises the needs of those living with dementia and we are proud to be the first hospice in the UK to sign up to John's Campaign. Both John's Campaign and our values recognise that every individual and their family/carer is at the heart of everything we do.
