Retail E-Commerce Volunteer

We are a patient-centred charity that delivers palliative and end of life care to thousands of people each year with advanced life-limiting illnesses who live in Northwest Surrey, also providing support to their carers and families in patient homes, in care or nursing homes or through its In-Patient Unit in the Hospice; as well as through our Wellbeing Centre.

You will, therefore, be joining a passionate and dedicated team of volunteers who make a real difference to the families across Surrey community.

Volunteer Colleague

We’re looking for friendly, enthusiastic volunteers who can engage with people of all ages and from all walks of life to join our team of volunteers.

 

Purpose of the role:

Working within the philosophy, objectives, policies and procedures of Woking & Sam Beare Hospice the key responsibility of this post holder is to create engaging listings on our E-commerce platform, selling donated goods to generate maximum income for the charity.

Supporting the smooth and efficient operation of the ecommerce team, preparing products for photographing, researching items, and packaging of products.

Responsible for a variety of ad hoc duties, including researching donations and packaging orders. This role will include assisting with sorting donations, general housekeeping, and supporting the team in achieving the department targets and providing the best possible customer experience.

The successful candidate will need to be focused, hard-working individual who works well within a small team, but also independently to meet personal targets.

A specific interest in fashion is desirable to assist the Ecommerce Manager with projects involving other online retail opportunities.

As with all our Retail staff and members of the E commerce team,  you will have a responsibility whenever customer facing to ask tax payers to complete a Gift Aid Declaration Form, so that the charity can claim an extra 25% on the value of the goods sold.
