Therapy Team Lead
I qualified as an Occupational Therapist in Germany in 2004 and relocated to the
UK the same year.
I have worked in the NHS for many years and have been able to gain experience in
a variety of settings and specialties including Orthopaedics, Inpatient assessment
and rehabilitation, as well as Community Rehab and Rapid Response services.
I first joined the Sam Beare Community Team in 2017 and took on the role of
Therapy Team Lead at Woking & Sam Beare Hospice in April 2022. I am
fortunate to be working with a dedicated and supportive team of Occupational
Therapists, Physiotherapists and Therapy Assistants. We work closely with our
colleagues in the Community Team, the Inpatient Unit and Wellbeing to support
our patients in achieving their goals and enjoying the things that are important to
them.
For me personally, this is the most rewarding role I have had in my career, and I
often feel inspired by my patients and colleagues. Being able to make a difference
however small at a very challenging time, and being part of someone’s journey is a
true privilege.
