Trustee

I joined the Hospice as a Trustee in 2012 and play an active role in both the Development and Income Generation Committee, and the Finance and Sustainability Committee.

As a Chartered Surveyor, I first crossed paths with the Hospice when Rhod Lofting asked me to help him acquire a new building to merge the two sites of Woking Hospice and Sam Beare Hospice. Having worked in the property industry for thirty years, this was certainly in my area of expertise, and I was delighted to be able to source the site that we now know as Woking & Sam Beare Hospice and Wellbeing Centre.

Of all the many property deals that I have done over the years, this is the one I am most proud of. It is lovely to be associated with the Hospice and something that I very much enjoy being involved in.

I’ve lived in Woking for over forty years and am married with two grown up children. Now that I am mostly retired, I enjoy walking, playing golf, and travelling.
