Jolene has worked in Finance since 1997 so brings years of experience with her to the Hospice. She joined in 2023 as the Interim Finance Director – her first role in a charity.
She is passionate about ensuring funds are used in the best way possible to help the Hospice and wonders why she didn’t use her expertise to work in charities sooner. Originally from South Africa, she came to the UK in 1998.
Jolene has a Bachelor of Commerce which she obtained in South Africa and an ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) which she qualified in in the UK. She started her career in Accounts Payable and continued her professional development to work her way up to where she is now.
Outside of work, Jolene loves to keep fit and can often be found in the gym. She loves animals and adores her cat, Tootie.
