Hayley Fellows

Community Services Manager

Hayley qualified as a registered nurse in 2010, starting her career in the NHS. She held positions in
haematology, frailty and emergency nursing before moving into specialist palliative care, and the
charity sector in 2015. In that time, she also picked up qualifications in emergency nursing, trauma
management, ALS, and took a keen interest in cancer and chemotherapy, which eventually drew her
towards her passion, palliative care.

Since qualifying as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Palliative Care in 2015, Hayley has developed her
skills across a variety of holistic areas. She joined Woking Hospice in 2017 as Wellbeing Lead
following the birth of her first child, and subsequently joined the Community Team as a Clinical
Nurse Specialist following the birth of her second child. In 2022 she was became Community Services
Manager and has continued to develop her skills in leadership and people management ever since.

As part of her role at the hospice, Hayley is always thinking of new, innovative ways for her team to
improve patient and carer experience through delivery of exceptional palliative care. She is very
proud to lead a team of clinical nurse specialists, paramedics, registered nurses and healthcare
assistants.

Outside of work, Hayley is a busy wife and mother of two school-age children who keep her on her
toes! She enjoys baking, reading and gardening, and fund-raises for the hospice whenever possible.
She has also recently become a dog-mum to Luna the spaniel, which has enriched her family’s life
immensely.
