Dr. Eleni, a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in London, brings her expertise in palliative medicine to Woking and Sam Beare hospices, where she has been part of the team in various roles for the last fifteen years. Joining as a Consultant in 2017, she has dedicated herself to providing compassionate care to patients both within the hospice and in their own homes. Leading the team, she ensures expert symptom management and end-of-life care for those with incurable illnesses, alongside support for their families. Dr. Eleni’s contributions extend beyond patient care; she spearheads quality improvement initiatives, engages in research and development efforts, and trains junior doctors and medical students, actively shaping the future of end-of-life care in the UK. Her aim is to introduce in a practical way the perennial concept of Harmony as a new approach to death and dying, to help us live more fully.
