Seymour’s incredible fundraising for 2023
Teams from the Woking branches of Seymours Estate Agents visited the Hospice on 9th February to celebrate the amazing amount that they have raised over the past year. An incredible £31,776 accumulated through a wonderful array of different events. This equates to ninety-six hours of care for the entire In-patient Unit.
They held golf days, football matches, cricket matches, and quiz nights to mention but a few. Thrill seeking employees even took part in a skydive, whilst others set off on the Three Peaks Challenge or ran a half marathon. A competitive team gave other companies a run for their money at the Hospice’s yearly Dragon Boat Races. Their eventful year culminated in an elaborate carol concert in Woking Town Centre which set the tone for a festive December.
“We are proud to be associated with such a good cause,” says Partner, Franco Orlando. “It’s a wonderful way to come together as a team whilst raising valuable funds for the Hospice.”
Seymours have been supporting the Hospice for six years, raising a grand total to date of £118,697. They are excited to see where their fundraising ideas will take them in 2024 and already have an inaugural comedy night in the planning, a corporate football competition at Woking Football Club, and an exciting new theme for this year’s carol concert that will have the audience on their feet as they won’t be able to resist singing and dancing along.
“We have been working with Seymours for many years now, and the relationship has really gone from strength to strength. Every year the events have just got bigger and better. It seems to just be the Seymours way that they always give their very best in all that they do, and we have been incredibly lucky to benefit from their amazing support which has raised a truly incredible sum of over £100k. We feel part of the Seymour’s family and hopefully they also feel part of the Hospice community too – it really is a very special partnership. I just want to say a really big thank you to each and every person at Seymours who have played their part in raising these funds.” Phil Wormley, Director of Fundraising
