Launch of the new Men’s Pit Stop support group
Awareness of mental health has come a long way in recent years. That doesn’t change the fact though that many people do still keep their struggles to themselves, especially men.
Inspired by an understanding of men’s needs, Woking & Sam Beare Hospice have created their own safe space known as ‘Men’s Pit Stop’.
All men over the age of 18 are welcome, they don’t have to have a link to the Hospice. The model is very simple – it is a confidential, judgement-free space where men can open up about anything that may be weighing them down.
If this resonates with you, don’t let doubt or hesitation stop you. Men’s Pit Stop believes in an ethos where safe spaces are created to support men’s needs and we look forward to welcoming you in.
Sessions run at the Wellbeing Centre at the Hospice on Fridays from 4.30 to 5.30pm.
