Amazing donation to our Ebay store
Recently, a local family were able to donate something that had great meaning to their dad, David Wood. A creative soul who enjoyed making things, David had a passion for radio controlled boats. He had a shed built in his garden dedicated to his hobby. It was an Aladdin’s cave of materials, tools, and equipment, fully kitted out for making model boats. He regularly met with a small band of fellow boat builders to take their boats out on the water. They even had an ingenious rescue rig for recovering stricken models that became stuck and had a small inflatable dinghy that they would paddle out on rescue missions!
“Dad was a very charitable person and he loved to help people,” says his son Pete who volunteers at our furniture shop in Knaphill. “He would be thrilled to know that his boats have been donated to such a worthy cause. We are so proud of him.”
