Natalie’s story

Losing Dad so suddenly and having to step into his shoes and take over the business was overwhelming. It was Fiona, one of the wonderful counsellors at Woking & Sam Beare Hospices, that got me through and who gave me the skills to support my three children with their grief.

Going to the hospice on a weekly bases after Dad had passed away for bereavement counselling really opened my eyes. I had previously thought that it was a place people go to die. This is not the case at all. It is warm and vibrant, with the most incredible team of staff and I am delighted to be able to give something back and be able to support this wonderful charity.

Optichrome have been hugely supportive of the hospice over the years. Natalie sadly lost her father in May 2013 who was cared for in his own home by the CoSI team. Since then she has personally given her time and the whole family attend our events and do what they can to generate awareness about who we are and what we do.
